We are really excited about Derby Days this year and look forward to all of the campus participating, especially all the sororities. We have the great opportunity to co-promote a double act featuring Love and Theft and Lee Brice. Lee Brice is a Clemson alumni and played on the football team so it is a pleasure to have him back. Thanks to the Derby Daddies and all of their work thus far!

At the 1992 Balfour Leadership Training Workshop, Significant Sig and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Merlin Olsen, Utah State 1962, introduced Children's Miracle Network (CMN) as Sigma Chi's suggested beneficiary of proceeds from chapter community service projects. CMN, an alliance of 170 hospitals and health care facilities across the United States and Canada, generates funds for the children its associated hospitals serve.
To date, Sigma Chi alumni and undergraduate chapters have raised more than $4.2 million for the Children's Miracle Network.
Here at Clemson University, with the help of the Sororities on campus, our Fraternity raised over $35,700 in the fall of 2006 for the CMN. This past fall we raised over $28,000 for the charity, once again exceeding expecatations. The week long event was concluded with a concert on the lawn of Littlejohn Collesium with country star Luke Bryan. Luke is a Sigma Chi alumnus from Georgia Southern, making the event special for him as well. We were very pleased with the showing at the concert and as always the tremendous support from all of the Sororities on campus, without them none of this would be possible. Derby Days 2008 is already underway with many brothers working hard on the event this summer. We look forward to another fun filled weeek and most importantly raising as much as we can to support the Children's Miracle Network.
